Adrienne Marie Bunney Van Kirk

Adrienne Marie VanKirk, 68, was called to heaven to meet her Lord and Savior on October 21, 2019, preceded by her parents Ken and Ruth Bunney. Adrienne was born on October 11, 1951, in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Hopewell High School in 1969, then enrolled in Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky, where she met her future husband, Bruce. Adrienne transferred to the University of Pittsburgh, where she earned a degree in Dental Hygiene in 1974. Bruce was the first and last patient in her accomplished hygiene career. Adrienne pioneered hygiene in Steubenville, Ohio, and also taught Radiology at Jefferson Community College. She married Bruce Van Kirk on March 22, 1975. They have three children, Ryan (Allison) Van Kirk, Andrea (Chris) Wadle, and Alison (Brett) Kuzoian. They also have seven grandchildren: Karina Kuzoian, Brynn Wadle, and Ryan’s children Roxy, Corban, Veda, Malachi and Koa. Adrienne has one brother, Kenneth (Tenley) Bunney, and their children Sean, Craig and Allison. In addition, she has seven other nieces and nephews: Marci, Luke, Angela, Todd, Nicole, Nicholas and Jordan.

Bruce and Adrienne moved from Ohio to Florida in 1980, where she was the dental hygienist for Dr. David Theis for 35 years. Adrienne loved her job, her patients, Dr. Theis and the office staff: Lois, Donna, Verna, Christy and Barb. They were like a second family to her.

Adrienne was a devout Christian and for over 20 years, she faithfully served as the nursery coordinator and other ministries at Deltona Alliance Church. She was extraordinary in every way. She was loved by many and always had a kind word for everyone. Adrienne will be dearly missed by her husband, her children and all who knew her.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Deltona Alliance Church, 921 Deltona Boulevard, Deltona, Florida. The service will begin at 11a.m., followed by a luncheon in the church fellowship hall.
