Avelino "Junior" Vazquez
Avelino “Junior” Vazquez, born on February 24, 1943 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019. He is in the loving arms of Jesus.
Junior was a very giving and caring man. He would always hold anyone in path higher than himself. He would give anyone the shirt off his back if he thought they needed it more than he did. He would give you the food off his own plate to make sure you were full before him. He was always very kind and generous to anyone in his path no matter if he was having a bad day; he would continue to have a smile on his face. He would always give anyone anything they wanted as long as he had the means to do so.
Avelino was self-made and self-reliant. From his cooking career in Long Island, NY to Florida, to his skills with every kind of tool that could fashion wood, metal, brick or cement; he engaged with the world as a man who was determined to master many traits.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Deborah, his two children: Jason and Antonio Vazquez, four daughters: Ana, Janet, Nancy and Daisy, two step-daughters: Dolores Skeen and Theresa Ortiz, 17 siblings, 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren . He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A Gathering of Family and Friends with Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 2pm with a Mass of Christian Burial at 4pm at St. Ann's Catholic Church 26 Dogwood Trail DeBary, Florida 32713.
