On Wednesday, June 10th, 2020, Bethany Newsome Rivero, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend, peacefully passed away in her sleep at the age of 43.
Bethany was born on November 16th, 1976 in Gainesville, Florida to Mitchell and Shelia Newsome. She graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2003, with a degree in Medical Technologies. Bethany had a passion for helping others via her job in Blood-Banking. She was an incredibly generous and loyal friend and family member. The perfect way to describe her, is that she had, "a warrior spirit and a kind heart."  You were the most blessed person in the world if you were loved with her fierce love. Her family was the most important thing to her, and she loved them so well. She also loved her friends, the beach, dolphins, flip flops, and the color blue. She loved reading, soaking up the sun, hibiscus, and bougainvilleas.Disney and shopping made her so happy. She was so incredibly funny, and gave the best hugs. She was an excellent hostess, who made the best coffee, and was always ready for a chat, game, or puzzle. She was a uniquely wonderful person, and there will never be another like her.

Bethany is survived by her husband Ruben, her daughter Makayla, her parents Mitchell and Shelia, her sister Esther, her brother-in-law Steven, and her two nephews, David and Daniel.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a memorial will be held at a later date.
