David J. Putnam

David Putnam, 70, passed away April 19, 2021 after a battle with Cancer.  He was born October 29, 1950 in Lansing, Michigan to Grace and Dale Putnam.  He was a proud graduate of Laingsburg High School and attended LCC, CMU, and MSU.  David had a long career with the Department of Social Services in Michigan and Florida Department of Children and Family.  He retired in 2013.  He had a great love of music and played the piano and organ for various churches throughout his life as well as serving as choir director.  His most recent position was at The First Congregational Church UCC in Orange City. David was always looking for ways to give back.


David is survived by his partner Terry Rabun, sisters Anita (Lisle) Conly, Jane (Marc Traver) Goetschy, Jill (John) McDougall.  He was beloved by his nieces and nephews as well as many friends.


"A Celebration of Life"  followed by a reception will be held for David on Saturday May 1st at 11:00 am at The Fellowship Hall at The First Congregational Church of Orange City UCC, 259 West University Avenue Orange City, FL 32724

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in David's name to Halifax Health Hospice.
