Dennis Michael Adam
Dennis Michael Adam died peacefully, surrounded by family and loved ones at AdventHealth Daytona Beach on May 12, 2021 in Daytona Beach, Florida at the age of 67.
Dennis was born on June 12, 1953 in Brattleboro, Vermont to Alfred William Adam and Mildred Emma Wright (married 1946). He graduated from Brattleboro Union High School in 1971 and Northern Vermont University in Lyndon Center, Vermont in 1977 with a degree in Physical Education.
Dennis is survived by his 3 older siblings(spouses): Bernard Errol Adam (Barbara J. Trombley) of Astor, Florida, James Alfred Adam (Curt G. Camp) of Rockledge, Florida and Cynthia Hutchinson of Palm Bay, Florida, 3 ex-wives: Margaret (aka Peggy), Sharon and Denita Carmen Martinez Pearman of Thornton, Colorado (The family apologizes to Margaret (aka Peggy), Sharon and their families for not including their maiden names, they were unsuccessful in researching them), many nieces and nephews, though Dennis did not have any biological children he leaves behind many step children and step grandchildren that he cared about as though they were his own. Dennis is preceded in death by both parents of Palm Bay, Florida.
After working in several different career fields prior to moving to Palm Bay, Florida, Dennis eventually began working for StorageTek which gave him the opportunity to live and work for awhile in the Netherlands (Holland) before settling in the Denver area of Colorado where he remained for many decades. Dennis moved back to Florida in early 2019 after divorcing his best friend Denita who he remained in touch with until his passing.
Among the many loves that Dennis enjoyed were hiking the Rocky Mountains in Colorado especially Mount Evans, going to Colorado Rockies baseball games, and spending quality time with his extended marital family. Dennis would willingly volunteer to watch pets and sit with young and/or senior family members to allow other family members the freedom to complete errands and have some personal time. Dennis faced many medical issues over the course of his life and did not allow those issues to define him or deter him from experiencing his joys and passions in life.
A Celebration of his Life will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 3pm at Christian Life Church at 343 Nail St NE, Palm Bay, Florida. https://goo.gl/maps/aoT2jpzsRRnhcZmt6
