   Jean M. Underwood went home to be with the Lord and reunited with her husband on Friday Dec. 2, 2016.  She was born on April 24, 1933 in Texas Valley NY, the daughter of late Robert Harding and Eloise Mae (Hargrave) Harding. Sister of two brothers Pete (Gladys) Harding NY deceased, Robert (Donna) Harding of Elmira, NY, and Stepbrother Dennis (Linda) Harding in Taiwan.

Loving wife of 62 years to the late Archie S. Underwood and a mother of four children, Bonita (Burlison)Underwood FL, Anita (Sandy) Doty NY, Michael Underwood FL, and Steven (Heidi) Underwood NY. Grandmother of 9 grandchildren, Jennifer (Matt) Kemak, Jeffrey (Amy) Doty, Kimberly (Thomas) Billings, Ashley(Troy) Hamric, James Burlison, Ryan (Glorianna)Underwood, Nolan Underwood, Adam Underwood and Shelby Underwood and three Great Grandchildren Abigail Kemak, Myles Hamric and Caleb Billings with many nieces and nephews.  

Lived in California for 11 years before relocating back to Marathon NY for several years. Worked at Victory Market in Dryden, NY before taking employment with Pall Trinity in Cortland, NY before retirement and traveling for several year to FL to NY and became full time residents of DeBary, Florida for a number of years.   Jean was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother she enjoyed traveling, camping, knitting, sewing, also made various wedding cakes and baking. Was a member of the Fl American Legion and a volunteer for the Chamber of Commerce also the Baptist Church. She will be sadly missed by all family calling hours will be Tuesday Dec. 06, 2016 at Altman-Long Funeral Home in DeBary, FL 5:00-8:00pm burial Wednesday Dec. 07 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. at 2:00pm will be laid to rest beside her husband.
