Michael Anthony Paniss
Michael Anthony Paniss, 30 of Sanford Florida was taken from us far too soon and has gone home to be with the Lord on April 12, 2021. He was born on November 9th, 1990 to the proud parents Ricardo and Jean Paniss in Milford, Massachusetts. He is survived by his parents, father Ricardo Paniss, and partner Karen Partridge, and mother Jean Marie (Gaudet) Paniss, and partner Gerald Laferriere. He is also survived by his beloved siblings. Jenna-Lee Languirand, and husband Patrick Languirand and their two children, his Godson Wesley Arlo Languirand, and Arden Luke Languirand, sister Ava Richardson, and partner Terrence Washington, His brother and best friend Jordan Paniss, and wife Laura Paniss, sister Jessica Paniss, and her partner Ivan Cruz and niece Scarlett Mae Cruz, as well as brothers Stephen and Luis Paniss. Coming from a huge close-knit family he is survived by grandparents, aunts and uncles, and many cousins that were more like siblings and his closest friends. He leaves behind his love Jessica Mckenna with whom he was starting to plan his future. She brought so much joy into his life. He is predeceased by many loved ones including a cherished cousin Cory Gaudet.
Michael attended grammar school in Warren Massachusetts. He attended Algonquin Regional high school in Northboro Massachusetts before graduating with Honors from Bellingham Memorial High School in Bellingham, Massachusetts. He went on to attend Westfield State University studying Criminal Justice, in Westfield, Massachusetts before attaining his Poker Dealing License; one of his proudest accomplishments. He loved becoming a poker dealer and dealt for the past few years at Oxford Downs Poker Room in Summerfield, Florida, prior to dealing poker at Best Bet in Jacksonville, Florida. He also enjoyed helping his father and brother run the Eastern Poker Tour as well as the Golf Channel Amateur Golf Tour, both in New England for many years. Most recently he worked in construction and was learning a new trade. In everything, he did he had such an amazing work ethic and took pride in his work.
In youth, Michael was an athlete, a seasoned champion-winning football player in pop warner leagues, and was a Letterman Bellingham Varsity football player. He also was a Bellingham varsity baseball player and basketball player. Most recently he was in a Softball league, Still Working on It, in Casselberry, Florida. He also had a love for golf, playing many a game alongside his brother, father, and many uncles. Mike was a big New England Sports fan. Watching and attending games with his family had always been a favorite pastime. Michael never missed an opportunity to bust a move on the dance floor, and he was a country music fan since childhood. He was an avid documentary watcher and a sponge learning new fascinating information; he was so bright. Mike also loved playing video games and playing chess.
Michael was a gentle spirit. His bright blue eyes, kind smile, and big hugs would warm the hearts of anyone he met. He was so proud to become an uncle and a Godfather to his nephew and loved spending time with them. Michael loved big and was loved by so many, and in the end that is all that really matters. That love will surpass all dimensions of space and time. We will find peace in the understanding that he was a Christian and that we will have a glorious reunion with him at the pearly gates.
We would love for Michael’s Memory to live on and his legacy to be meaningful. He was a helper, and we hope to continue helping people struggling with addiction in honor of him. In lieu of flowers if you feel compelled to make a donation in his honor we are going to start a scholarship in his name to help others seek treatment for addiction. A Cremation Memorial Service will be held for Michael Anthony Paniss on Saturday, May the 1st, 2021 from 2:00-3:00 pm. It will be held at 51 Children’s Way Enterprise, Florida, 32725 at the Chapel of the Florida United Methodist Children’s Home. Masks required. We understand if you are unable to attend and we will be live-streaming the service for those who wish to pay their respects.
