Patricia Darcey “Pat” Noles went to be with our Lord on August 26, 2016 in the hospice unit at Florida Hospital Fish Memorial in Orange City, Volusia County, Florida from natural causes.

Pat was born July 20, 1931 in Wanship, Summit County, Utah to James Herbert Darcey and Dorothy Mae Paul.  She was the last daughter of her parents and had a total of 6 siblings. Pat was married to Frederick William Noles on November 29, 1955 in Houston, Texas.

Pat started working at the age of 12 doing accounting/bookkeeping work for her father in his garage. She also worked in New Orleans, Louisiana, as a bookkeeper for a small plumbing company back in 1952. But her main career followed her number one passion – that of flying.  For 50 years she worked in the Airline business. Starting off with United Airlines in Kansas City, Kansas, as a ticket counter and ramp agent in 1954. In 1956 she joined Eastern Airlines, as a reservationist working in Tampa, Hillsborough County, Florida.  When Eastern went bankrupt in 1991, she joined American Airlines as a customer resolution advance agent.  She spent 6 years in Raleigh, North Carolina, and then was transferred to Dallas, Texas in 1997, where she retired July 24, 2004.

Pat had attended Woodbridge College in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California for 1 year as she studied fashion design.

Besides flying Pat’s hobbies were: sewing (where she could put a hidden talent to use), dancing, listening to music from artists such as Pete Fountain, Englebert Humperdinck, and the Great Band era of the 1930s and 1940s, traveling (possibly her #1 hobby), photography, and swimming – especially at the beach.

She leaves behind her daughter Mary Noles Triplett of Deltona, Florida, her son William Gunther Noles, his wife Loraine Noles of Holly Hill, Florida and 2 grandsons Robert William and Terrance James Triplett, both of Deltona, Florida and 1 sister – Dorothy Mae Darcey Young of Wanship, Utah.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frederick William “Bill” Noles, her parents James and Dorothy Darcey and siblings: James Douglas “Jim” Darcey, Viola Lucille Darcey Grover, Thomas William “Bill” Darcey, John Paul Darcey and Robert David Darcey.

A Gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday September 1, 2016 at 6pm at St. Clare Catholic Church with Mass starting at 7pm.  Followed by graveside services in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida next to her husband on Friday September 2, 2016 at 11:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to St. Jude’s Hospital.
