Rebecca Ann Tainter
07/11/1944 – 08/23/2021
Born in Sedgwick Maine
Rebecca sadly departed our family on August 23, 2021 at Fish Memorial Hospital in Orange City Florida surrounded by her children. She struggled for many years with COPD and a heart condition. She was preceded in death by her husband Conrad Tainter Sr. of 58 years, her son Conrad Tainter Jr. and her granddaughter Stephanie Tainter. Her parents were Edgar Carter and Lottie Ladd Carter both of Sedgwick Maine. She was raised in Maine where she met our father and they decided to move to Florida in the late 80s. Becky spent 55 years devoted to the nursing field and taking care of others. While she loved her job caring for others she also got her CDL license in her late forties to hit the road with her husband so they could work together side by side. Who Rebecca truly was was a strong woman full of wisdom. She touched everybody she knew in some way shape or form. Becky was known to many of the kids as Grammy the Grouch. She loved having her hair brushed and toenails done although she always refused nail polish! We also can't forget her love for her little furry friends, her 4 poodles she had throughout her life. She always looked forward to her frequent weekly visits from Wallace who would take her out to eat or just sit and talk with her for a few hours or going out to the stores and just window shop. She loved listening to music such as Johnny Cash Marty Robbins and Ray Stevens on her late-night visits with Pedro. Especially I'm My Own Grandpa which she always thought was funny when he played it. She was a strong loving woman who should not have left us as early as she did and she will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
