Susan Violet Maycock Martin, 56, from Sanford, Florida is finally resting after her long battle with cancer. She passed while surrounded by her family on July 8th, 2016. Susan was born January 18th, 1960 in Canandaigua, New York to William and Violet (Grimm) Maycock. She grew up on a farm in a small community. With the love and support of friends and family, she grew into the woman who she was always meant to be. She answered her calling as an outstanding manager and mentor as she progressed in her successful career as a retail store director. In her personal life, she gave all she had to being the best mother and wife she could imagine. Ultimately, she was a lover of life. She loved her family and friends; she loved the beach and finding the beauty in each day; she loved all things Disney and all things Christmas; and she loved being a shining example of positivity and light to the world. Susan is survived by her three children Alisha, Ariel, and Timothy and her granddaughter, Sirena Rose. She also leaves behind both her parents, her six siblings, and many nieces and nephews. Susan wished for those surviving her to remember her as she was, and asked that there not be a viewing or memorial service. She is going to be laid to rest in upstate New York later this year. In the end, Susan was unable to say much, but given the chance, she would have shared with us her favorite phrase to live by: Live, Laugh, Love.

Condolences can be sent to Altman-Long Funeral Home.
