William “Bill” Francis Stiemann was born October 22, 1929 to Theodore William Stiemann and Edith Victoria Stiemann.  He died at home on May 9, 2018. 


Bill was rescued from his sins by his loving redeemer, Jesus Christ, at the age of 22.  At 26 he married his wife of nearly 62 years, Shirley.  He and his brothers built a house for their early married years in Lombard, IL and at the age of 33 he and Shirley left that house to train for the ministry.  By that time they had 2 boys with a third on the way.  Bill graduated from Columbia Bible College and held Pastorates in Long Island, NY and Randolph, NJ.  Bill also worked with Promise Keepers Ministries in the NY metro area later in life.  More recently he lived in Sanford, FL.  Bill served in the National Guard in his younger years.  Throughout his life, he loved to work on cars and had many projects over the years.  

 
Bill is survived by his wife, Shirley June (Gustafson) Stiemann of Sanford, FL, sister, Ruth Marie Stiemann of Lombard, IL, sons Mark William Stiemann of Omaha, NE, Timothy Jon Stiemann (and Olguita Stiemann) of Houston, TX, and Theodore Paul Stiemann (and Sheryl Stiemann), 7 grandchildren: Kyle, Jesse, Josiah, Amanda, Timmy, Toby, Christie, and 2 great grandchildren: Jules and one en route. 


He is predeceased by his parents, Theodore and Edith, his brothers Robert “Bob” Stiemann and Theodore “Ted” Stiemann and his grandson Theodore Paul “Teddy” Stiemann. 


A Graveside Committal will be held at 10 AM Saturday, May 12 at Hollywood Cemetery, 1031 S. Carpenter Ave, Orange City, FL.  It will be followed by a Celebration of Life at 11 AM at River Oaks Presbyterian Church, 385 Washington Ave, Lake Mary, FL.
